When GARDERMOEN Meets the Haltiyan Festival
In Hungary's Pest County, there is a place called Újhartyán. It is not only home to GARDERMOEN's overseas production base, but also the venue for the traditional autumn event most loved by locals, held year after year: the Hartyán Festival (the hartyáni búcsú / Hartyán Parish Feast).
Magyarországon, Pest megyében található egy hely, Újhartyán.Itt nemcsak a GARDERMOEN külföldi gyártóbázisa működik,hanem évről évre itt rendezik meg a helyiek legkedveltebb hagyományos őszi eseményét is:a Hartyán Fesztivált (a hartyáni búcsút).

This is a festival built on Swabian culture and gastronomy. For GARDERMOEN, taking part in this event was not just an exotic experience — it was also a vivid illustration of how we went from "outsiders" to "locals."
Ez egy sváb kultúrára és gasztronómiára épülő fesztivál. A GARDERMOEN számára ebben a rendezvényben való részvétel nemcsak egzotikus élményt jelent, hanem annak is ékes példája, hogyan váltunk „idegenekből" „helybéliekké".

On festival day, Újhartyán's main square was packed with people. Among the many market tents full of local character, GARDERMOEN's booth stood out. Red-and-yellow ribbons printed with "GARDERMOEN" hung high on both sides of the tent, and the tables were filled with custom kraft paper bags bearing the Gale logo and carefully prepared gifts.
"Come and try it!" GARDERMOEN's employees warmly handed gifts to local residents passing by. The camera captured countless heartwarming moments: local girls in traditional Swabian dress (Dirndl) and young parents with children all broke into delighted, radiant smiles as they received GARDERMOEN's paper bags. Everyone stood together for photos and thumbs-ups — no language or national barriers, only the pure joy of neighbors sharing a festival.
A fesztivál napján Újhartyán főtere zsúfolásig megtelt. A helyi ízeket képviselő vásári sátrak között feltűnő volt a Gale Electric standja – a sátor két oldalán „GARDERMOEN" feliratú piros-sárga szalagokkal, az asztalokon Gale-logós papírzacskókkal és apró ajándékokkal.
"Kóstolja meg!" – a Gale munkatársai barátságosan nyújtották át az ajándékokat. A kamera számtalan meleg pillanatot örökített meg: sváb viseletbe (Dirndl) öltözött lányok, kisgyermekes szülők – mindenki őszinte mosollyal fogadta a zacskókat. Nincs nyelvi vagy országhatár, csak a szomszédok közös ünneplésének tiszta öröme.

The highlight of the Hartyán Festival was, of course, Swabian cuisine and folk customs. Crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside Swabian roast pork knuckle, rich and hearty bean soup with dumplings, the classic hunter's stew... Amid the aroma of food, GARDERMOEN's team sat together with local residents, feasting with gusto.
In the streets, a cheerful brass band played the melodies of autumn, while a Swabian folk dance group performed on the open-air stage. GARDERMOEN's team wove through the crowd, clapping and cheering to the rhythm of the music, fully immersed in the festive atmosphere alongside the locals. From the tip of the tongue to the heart, our understanding of this small town deepened once again.
A fesztivál fénypontja a sváb gasztronómia és néphagyomány: ropogós sült sertésköröm, sűrű bableves galuskával, klasszikus vadpörkölt – az ételek illatában a Gale csapata és a helyiek együtt lakmároztak.
Vidám rézfúvósok szóltak az utcákon, sváb néptánccsoport ropta a szabadtéri színpadon. A Gale csapata a tömegben tapsolva, ujjongva élvezte a fesztivált a helyiekkel – a nyelvünk hegyétől a szívünkig újra megértettük ezt a kisvárost.
